The slapping missiles
Imagine you are talking to someone and suddenly he slaps you. You shout at him but he says it’s in the past, and that violence from your side will just make things worse. You relax, forgive him and continue talking when suddenly he slaps you again.
Normally you would walk away, but lets imagine you can’t walk away. Once again youre getting angry and shout and you have an urge to hit him back. But he tells you that you’re big and strong, and he’s weak and small so it wouldn’t be fair and besides, violence from your side will just make the situation worse than it already is.
Once again you let it go only to be slapped again and again. How much time will pass until you stop listening to him and hit him back?
The hezbollah has been shooting missiles on our northern population for quite some time. We held back thinking it’ll stop eventually, thinking we can negotiate ourself out of this situation, believing we can get the other side to be a partner for peace. Unfortunatly they slapped us too many times.
Now it’s up to them. They can stop shooting missiles, return our soldiers (our kidnapped soldiers) to us and disscuss a peace treaty the way enlightened leaders do or keep on slapping us and we’ll just have to see who slaps harder.
